Fitch Achieves Excellence

Stephen Fitch is a valued member of Infiniti of Scottsdale’s team of mature & professional sales people. ‘Fitch’, as he is most often called by his friends and work associates is a guy who has centered himself on achieving excellence. And day in, day out, Fitch achieves it.

Like all of our Sales Consultants, Stephen Fitch is fully Factory Certified for all Infiniti vehicles and Certified in the Infiniti Total Ownership Experience sales process. Fitch was a part of the Pinnacle Infiniti team for several years before the recent merging of the two stores. With Pinnacle, he ranked very high among Infiniti sales people, not just here on Frank Lloyd Wright, but also among Infiniti sales people throughout the Western Region. Fitch has ranked 1st in Sales and has also ranked 1st in CSI score (customer satisfaction). Highly respected by his fellow sales people, Fitch earned these honors through hard work and by truly caring for the customer and their needs and wants. Tirelessly working for the customer is Fitch’s secret.

And tireless comes naturally to Stephen. Graduating from ASU in 2004 with a BS in Communications, Fitch was also very busy in extra-curriculars. As a four year member of ASU’s elite Varsity Track Team, Fitch’s 400 meter personal best is a blazing 46.33 seconds. He was a member of the 4x400 Relay Team which ran the 2nd fastest time in NCAA Collegiate history.

Stephen grew up in Danville CA and he returns there often to visit his mom, a busy teacher, and others in his family. Fitch believes in what he sells – you’ll see him driving his own 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe, with the Premium and Navigation Packages. You may see him in one of his favorite restaurants – Einsteins, Kona Grill or City Hall. And Fitch invites all to take him on in a game of Wii – his specialty is Mario Kart – and he’s not humble in the slightest about his prowess with this game.

Infiniti of Scottsdale Employee of the Month Dennis Lowry is known as "The Grey Fox" at IOS

You’ve never met a nicer, more energetic and hard-working luxury car salesman than Dennis Lowry. And a lot of you have met him. Since 1999, when he started with Infiniti of Scottsdale, Dennis has sold more vehicles than any other salesperson. Tireless, you’ll see him running occasionally when he’s helping his customers. Sounds like a kid, huh?

Some kid! Dennis is in his mid-70’s. Yet, he runs circles around the garden variety car salesmen that you’ll find in most other places. He fits right in here.

Dennis grew up in the midwest and joined the United States Air Force in 1956. He served Uncle Sam for 11 years before retiring with the rank of Captain in 1967. During these years, Dennis flew a variety of jet airplanes, including the F86, F100, B47 and the big bomber, the B52.

Following his service to our country, Dennis signed on with Pan Am Airlines and piloted the biggest and best Pan Am had during his 25 years with them, including the venerable Boeing 707 and the Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet. Although Dennis was not involved with the tragedy that occurred over Lockerbie, Scotland, that crash set up circumstances that brought his airline career to an end. Pan Am’s business suffered terrifically after that horrific incident, and the airline furloughed lots of people.

Dennis is married to his pretty wife Nancy, and they are a devoted couple. He has four grown and successful children ranging in age from 28 to 56. In his spare time, you might find Dennis wearing waders in a remote trout stream – fly fishing is one of his favorite pastimes. On occasion, when he doesn’t have the time to get out into the wilderness, Dennis has been sighted in a particular valley casino sitting at the Blackjack and Poker tables.

Outstanding employee makes the dealership a better place

James Bakalar joined the New Car Sales Team at Infiniti of Scottsdale in the Spring of 2007. He has been very busy ever since, and James will tell you – he’s found a happy home here. He had been with a Phoenix BMW dealer and he had come to appreciate finer luxury performance vehicles. But he wanted a work environment that was friendlier, provided more support and gave more care and training to its sales employees. That’s exactly what he found here at Infiniti of Scottsdale. As a bonus, he found a fun place to work, a place where he can make a good living and a place which James makes better just by being here. After living in Ohio for all of his 33 years, James made the move, like many of have, to the sunny Southwest. He had entered the automobile business in 1999, working for BMW, Nissan and Chrysler. Before that James had been in the landscaping business. As a youth, James was a terrific athlete playing football, basketball and running track.

Since moving to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, James has “rediscovered” the rewards of strenuous physical activity. Recently, he ran his first 26.2 mile race, competing in the P.F. Changs’ Rock’n’Roll Marathon, finishing in a very respectable sub-4-hour time. James reports that he enjoyed the experience, wants to run faster and is thinking about running another marathon in June in San Diego. Just about every morning, you will find James on the trail, trekking up the side of Camelback Mountain. When he can get away, he hikes the Grand Canyon and knows the Bright Angel Trail very well.

No stranger to Scottsdale’s night life, will often be found in Old Town's better restaurants and bistros. He has come to love the social life available here in warm and friendly Arizona. Needless to say, James is making a very nice life for himself since leaving the rigors of cold Ohio.

Hats off to this seasoned Infiniti professional

Every car dealership has (and definitely needs!) their “go-to guy”. When it comes to the great Infiniti products of today and through the years, Ross is our guy. He has a wealth of knowledge of Infiniti, and of our Dealership. Ross joined Infiniti of Scottsdale in 1994, and except for a brief time (when he lost his way and wandered over to Cadillac), he’s been a steadying part of the IoS Sales team ever since.

A native of Montana, Ross moved to Arizona as a child in 1958. A proud homeowner and pet lover, Ross lives with Buck, his 3 year-old Golden Retriever, and they enjoy our fantastic Arizona environment together. Ross leaves Buck at home though when heads out to the golf course – where he is as completely at home as he is behind the wheel of an Infiniti. Ross is pulling for the Rockies to beat the Red Sox in the World Series, and he’s an unembarrassed Cowboy’s fan.

Brian Nelson Earns Honors

Bryan Nelson has been among Infiniti of Scottsdale’s top New Car Salespeople since he joined the Infiniti of Scottsdale team almost 3 years ago. Bryan is a true Infiniti expert, and during his eight year career in the automotive industry he has worked for both BMW and Acura.

Some of Bryan’s best qualities that allow him to be successful in his role at Infiniti of Scottsdale are his down-to-earth personality, affinity for technology and his intelligence. Bryan is a huge Green Bay Packers fan, which makes fall Sundays special to him. Scottsdale's gentle giant receives honors for a job well done

Marlon Darton is one of Infiniti of Scottsdale's longest-tenured and most-loved salespeople. If you've bought a car from Marlon, you know what a wonderful man he is. A friendlier, more congenial, more courteous and respectful salesperson you won't find anywhere in Arizona.

Kevin Mason earns top honors for his success at Infiniti of Scottsdale

Kevin has been an excellent salesman for Infiniti of Scottsdale from virtually the first day he started with us – in early 2006. After a full career with Peoples’ Energy in Chicago, Kevin moved here to the Valley with his family.

Always having been a man who loved fine clothing, Kevin spent a couple of years selling high quality men’s clothes. One of our sales managers was a customer of his, and after a while the conversation turned to Infiniti. Kevin made the switch. We’re glad he did.

Kevin is a dedicated husband and father. He and wife Courtney have three children, Ryan, Dylan and Gabby. They travel as a family frequently. Just this year, the Mason’s vacationed for 10 days in South Florida and also spent a week back in Chicago at a big family reunion.

Paul Brown joined our Sales Team last winter. At Infiniti of Scottsdale, we are very pleased to have Paul Brown working with us. Very hard working, Paul is smart and articulate, and has an excellent sense of humor. After studying Sociology at Arizona State University, in 1984 Paul started a successful computer game company – Reality Simulations, Inc. In the many years since, he has designed, written, and produced numerous hits and award winners, including games, toys, and film scripts.

The joke in Hollywood always starts, “I’m a writer!” The reply usually goes, “Oh really, so what restaurant are you working at?” Paul, in love with his own Infiniti G35 (currently clocking 172,000 miles and going strong), says he would much rather sell the greatest car on Earth than wait tables as his “day” job.

Paul is incredibly proud to work for Infiniti of Scottsdale, a place where the customer comes first. “It comes down from the top,” Paul says. “The management here believes that when you take good care of customers, they reward you with their business. It’s a philosophy that works. I treat my customers the same as I would my family and friends. The result is that many customers DO become friends. Half my sales are now repeat customers or referrals.”

Barry McKenzie... Smart, Fun, Experienced and Committed

Since 1994, Barry McKenzie has been a part of our committed professional sales team here at Infiniti of Scottsdale. In this business, people like Barry are hard to find. His experience is very deep and very successful, and his knowledge is a great asset to our store. Through it all, Barry has still been able to maintain a great and fun attitude. There are no salespeople here more fun to work with than Barry McKenzie.

Born in Dyersburg TN, Barry has followed his career all over America. He spent many of his formative years in the Washington DC area. After starting in the car business in 1973, he was a partner in a Fiat/Lancia dealership and was the General Manager of Metro Motors, a Jaguar, Volvo & Jeep franchise in Tulsa OK. McKenzie served for 3 years as a Patrolman in the Abilene TX Police Department; and served America in the USArmy, spending 15 months of his enlistment as a Harbor Craft Coxswain in Vietnam, piloting amphibious and patrol boats in wartime. Barry has been a Phoenix area resident for the last 20 years. Barry has two adult children, both very successful in life and living in Colorado and Kansas, respectively.

A few years ago, McKenzie personally remodeled his Tempe home, but little did he know, at the time, that the improved environment would not be just for him. Barry was very fortunate to re-establish a relationship with an acquaintance with a beautiful woman he had met more than 30 years earlier, and in August 2008, he married his lovely bride, June. Lucky man!

Getting married brought with it a few changes in his behavior, but Barry knows a good deal when he sees it. A motorcycle enthusiast for 40 years, he doesn’t ride his Honda VTX1800 motorcycle quite as much as before, and the little house projects never seem to end, but there is more than enough compensation. Barry and June enjoy boating on local waterways in all of their several boats (sailboat, cabin cruiser, fishing boat – all restored by this handy guy!)

But Barry is a car guy. Nobody here has more experience. And no one here appreciates more than Barry the enormous benefits of great customer service.
