Spectacular IOS Trackdays Event on March 8^th, 2009

73 Infinitis on the track! 105 total drivers! Early Up-Close and Personal Appearance by G37 Convertible. 4 Engineers from Infiniti Proving Grounds conducted all-day G Sedan development research. NicoClub came to play again! Stillen SEMA Show 2008 G37 Coupe was ogled by all.

Do the math – More than 5,800 miles driven with bold intensity in high-performance Infiniti vehicles on a world-class technical track by Infiniti enthusiasts. Does it get any better than this?

On October 25th, Infinitiofscottsdale.com will run again at Firebird. Its IOS Trackdays Performance Instructional Track Series is becoming very well known throughout the national Infiniti community and has become a sought-after feature of Infinitiof Scottsdale.com. 80 Infinitis from Infiniti of Scottsdale will participate at Firebird International Raceway, as usual. IOS Trackdays is an all-day Sunday Event. This next Event in October '09 will be the fifth in our Series. Reservations will be taken starting in late August.

IOS Trackdays is FREE to Infiniti of Scottsdale owners/lessees/drivers.

• IOS Trackdays V will be on the tight, technical, fun and safer West Track.
• G Sedans & Coupes, EX35's, FX35's, FX50's, M Sedans (and even G20’s) purchased here are invited.
• All skill levels are invited, from novice to advanced.
• Classroom sessions are required for new participants.
• As always, there will be in-car, on-track coaches for all new and most intermediate drivers.
• The emphasis of IOS Trackdays Events is Performance and Safety Instruction.
• All classroom sessions, track activities, and pit/track safety and admin is provided by Larry & Vickie Pond’s ProAutoSports LLC, an affiliate of ASA Racing. Nationally known with many years of experience in running track events, ProAutoSports staff (20+ professional drivers/instructors) has received rave reviews from prior IOS Trackdays participants. • All driver participants receive ASA certification and ID Cards
• Most regular car insurance policies cover our activities because this is "driver instruction".
• Breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided - our treat.
• DJ hosted music will be provided in the pit.
• We encourage participants to bring lawn chairs, pop-up canopies or other "tailgating" gear to enhance their pit time.
• IOS Performance.com will have a booth and performance accessories are available.
• Professional race car driver, Amy Elizondo, will in all likelihood again provide all-day high-performance demonstration rides in an Infiniti G or M. All are invited to ride along and see how excellent track lines result in very smooth, seemingly effortless high speeds. Classroom participation is not required to ride along with Amy. • We think NicoClub.com will be with us again, and Greg Childs will probably drive his supercharged 05 G Coupe on the track as he did in October '08. Lots of the photos you see of our March 8th Event were shot by Jeff Woods for IOS and for nicoclub. Great work Jeff! See: www.nicoclub.com
• We expect there will probably be TV and other media there again.
• Factory engineers and test drivers from the Nissan/Infiniti Corporate Technical Center in Stanfield will likely participate as they have in the past.

May 4, 2009 Dear Mal My name is Larry N_______. My wife Rosemary and I are former owners of an Infiniti FX-35. At 9 AM yesterday morning we were driving southbound on 101 when we hit an object in the road while traveling at 65 MPH. It blew out both tires and damaged the rims on the passenger side of our new Nissan Altima. We gradually slowed down and pulled safely onto the right shoulder. I was amazed at how exceptionally well every thing went without anyone being hurt. In 2008 you invited us out to the Firebird track with our Infiniti FX-35, and I drove around the track repeatedly with an instructor in the passenger seat. He instructed me on the proper handling of a vehicle, and I'm sure this was a big factor during my experience yesterday. My experience at Infiniti of Scottsdale's IOS Track Days enabled me to be calm and do the right things during this high speed emergency. What could have been a collision and serious damage and injury or worse, turned into a manageable situation because I had been trained. Thank you Mal for inviting us to the Firebird track event in 2008. I believe you deserve credit for helping us avoid what could have been a real disaster. Sincerely Larry N

The IOS Trackday event was colossal! I had an incredibly good time and learned much more about the performance capabilities of my G37 coupe. The event was very well organized and the instructors were extremely helpful. Kudos to IOS for hosting such a great event.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! If you had 100 cars out there today, I was NUMBER 100 in speed, skill and confidence. Instructors Alan and Jim deserve a medal for their patience and skill in keeping me calm and safe, and the poor other drivers sharing the track with me. But on the last run I FINALLY understood, it FINALLY came together, and it felt GREAT! What an AWESOME event! THANK YOU!!!

Just wanted to say thanks to you and the IOS team for putting on a fantastic event yesterday. I know it was a lot of work and expense. But I can tell you it really sends a strong message to me as a customer that IOS is going way beyond the latest transaction in building customer loyalty. I love the Infinities and will keep buying them. (Once our BMX X5 starts breaking down regularly, which is likely sooner rather than later based on experience to date, we’ll be switching.) My purchase transaction experience at IOS was fine, but would have to say what you guys demonstrated this past weekend went well beyond a good transaction experience – filling that border between customer satisfaction and loyalty. Now if only you could have made the Cardinals win, it would’ve been the ultimate driving experience… thanks again and hope to see you again soon.

Thanks for the photos! Barb and I really had a great day with IOS. It was very clear that a lot of hard work and planning went into this event to make it come off as perfectly as it did. As Jim Roberts, our Infiniti of Scottsdale Salesman, can tell you, we've had a number of fast and fun cars over the years but this G37S really pulls it all together. Barb drives it primarily and it's tough to get it away from her so I can enjoy it too. Please put us on the list for the next track day so that I can get to drive her car! Thanks for a great day.

Thank you, and Infiniti of Scottsdale, SO MUCH for setting this up, paying for it, and allowing us to participate! I had one of the best days of my life, and an experience I will remember forever! The classroom instructor was excellent, and I’ve already become much more aware of how I’m driving and have even begun to incorporate some of what I learned into my everyday rides. Special kudos to Chad (maybe “Chet” it was hard to hear through the helmets) -- he was a superb instructor. And speaking of going the extra mile, that free inspection, and discount on possible work, is the cherry on a wonderful sundae. Please let Mr. Schatzberg know that he now has a customer for life. I’m doing PR like crazy for you guys, now. Telling all my friends what a blast I had and how they can do it too if they’d just buy a car from IOS! Thank you again, and everyone who helped put it together. I can’t wait for the next one!

It sure was a blast! I was talking with Frank, and he made a real good point about how the classroom topics were informative, but didn’t cover Infiniti-specifics like VDC. He suggested that it might be useful to have someone talk briefly on that, explaining the what/why/how of that technology, and describing what to expect if it’s deactivated. Well done, gentlemen.

Absolutely awesome! This was just the greatest thing. I really bonded with my FX35 and appreciate it so much more now. It was such a rush for me (I usually drive the speed limit). Now I'm having a hard time not getting on it going to work...ha ha. I can’t wait to see the pictures.
