Would Cleaning Out Your Car Make a Difference?

The most important thing you can do to get your car smelling like new again is to clean it out. Choose a warm day, open your car doors, and throw out any garbage that you have lying around in your car. Next, take some interior car cleaning car wipes or something similar and wipe down the dashboard, steering wheel, and any other surface that you may have touched that you can wipe down. You should then clean off the insides of your windows and windshield with window cleaning wipes.

Your car should be smelling almost like new again if you’ve cleaned it out thoroughly. Don’t Leave Windows Open

If your car is still new enough to have a new car smell, you can preserve it by keeping your doors and windows shut as often as possible. This not only traps the new car smell within the car, but the higher temperature will preserve the smell a bit longer. This also means that you should avoid having your windows open for long on a cold day, but you probably wouldn’t want to have all of your windows down in the middle of the winter anyway.
