INFINITI Q60 TO BE DISCONTINUED FOR 2023

Recently, the news has been that the Q60 is going to be discontinued as of 2023. This is when Infiniti is going to stop producing the Q60 coupe.

That means that 2022 will be the final production year of this vehicle. The announcement of this cancellation is happening as Infiniti is shifting focus to some of its more popular lines, such as the SUVs and Crossovers in the United States. The Q60 coupe only made it a few years, surviving primarily on good looks.

According to the company, it’s likely that retailers will still have units for sale even into 202. This discontinuation is happening since SUVs and crossovers are becoming so preferred by American drivers. These appear to be far more popular, so they are getting a lot more focus. The upcoming EV that’s coming is also going to be built in the U.S., With expectations that it will be popular here as well. The Q50 sedan will keep being produced through 2023. There are no plans to get rid of this particular model yet, but Infiniti is putting out four different crossovers and SUVs along with the possibility of a sedan EV for 2025, so it’s possible that the Q50 may have a limited life span up ahead as well. 

The trend lately has been SUVs and crossovers, as well as new hybrid and otherwise electric vehicles for new options in production. In contrast, old models that use old styles, like the traditional combustion engines, are being transitioned out by many companies, ending lines that have existed for a while in some cases.

However, there’s no denying the fact that the world seems to be moving in this direction when it comes to which vehicles are the most in demand. Brands are producing more eco-friendly vehicles for the years going forward for a reason. This is where the demand seems to be, after all.
